hello people! :D I somehow had a sudden urge to update this going-to-die-soon blog. Sooo, why not, right? While i am still logged on to this acc, i shall use this opportunity to update you guys on what's happening to SMDC.

In case some of you still blur sotong, or don't-know-anything-kind-of-thing, this Friday, 7 August 2009, ...... ....... ......... ........ we are performing for the school celebration! :D Personally, i really like the dance :P & oh yahh, we are dancing with the Chinese dancers. So for me, this is a whole new experience. We were exposed to a totally different approach to dancing last Saturday, 1 August 2009. Most of the time, i didn't understand what instructions were we given by the Chinese dance teacher but what mattered to me was having fun and so i did have fun, lots of fun. haha. The Chinese dance teacher reminded me of Cikgu Osman :O haha.

Much about that, many of our performances were cancelled D: BUT, no worries, we shall all look forward to the upcoming competition in November, is it? IDK :/ We will be Zapin-ing for that competition. :DD & I REALLY LOVE ZAPIN! haha. Sosososososososo, we shall do our best and win that competition then get MONEY $$ . wahahhas. LOL. Sorry for the lame-ness but i really have nothing to say. So my 'haha's or my i-dont-know-what-crap are to in a way elaborate on the topic to make this post long. heh. =D

Okay just a lil reminder for those performing this Friday, (if you even happen to pass by and have the time to read my crap) tomorrow is FULL DRESS REHEARSAL*. There'll be rehersal on Thursday, should be.. & the real thing is on Friday :D (*FULL DRESS REHEARSAL = bring all the costume, whatsoever, most imptly, sapu tngn :D)

Okay previous para was crap. Oh who cares. At least i try to make the effort to keep this blog alive XP

I do not know who's turn is it to update the blog. I do not care. So, I'll just update it then. It'll help so much as this blog is extremely dead! The MYE are finally over! I hope you people faired well. As for my case, I flunked okay! Do not need to know why. I'm jst stating th obvious.

We sure hope to see that GLITTERING SMILE of yours on your face! But don't hold back those tears! If you need to cry, jst cry cse I'm very sure that we'll cry with you cause our club is SUPER SENSITIVE when it comes to crying! RIGHT DANCERS? WHATEVER IT IS HANIYATI, YOU CAN COUNT ON US FOR HELP CAUSE WE'LL ALWAYS BE THER WHEN YOU NEED US.

aites. juz gt home frm sch after the SYF!!

okayys. wanna update now cos i wanna bunk in early! damn tired, and tomoro's there's TAF club early in the morning for me and ain...

okay. events in order:

7.15 a.m.
report to the hall for morning assembly...blah..blah..blah... mrs lim told us: "dont be nervous.." the more she says that, the more we are nervous!

then the band members announced their SYF results. woah. we were quite shocked when we heard tt the have obtained the SILVER award! well having been achieving the gold award for the past few years, we were all expecting a gold again this yr. bt anything can happen rite? well, all we can say is that they have done their best and the results doesnt really matter...
after their announcement, they even wished us well for our SYF! thanks a lot swiss winds!:D

well after learning of their results, we felt quite discouraged as we thot that if the successful swiss winds would obtain silver, then what about us?? yeah. that made us think a lot...

7.40 a.m.
all of MD members came together, rushed to the back stage to get our stuffs and then went to the dance studio... we were quite shocked when the chinese dancers gathered in the dance studio before we came in, there to give us their support! they even gave us their self-made "encouragement poster"! thanks chinese dance!:D

8 a.m.
well did some light stretching and camwhoring at the same time...then ms nafisah came down...

8.15 a.m.
went to the canteen to have a light breakfast. the stall vendor and even ms hafiza wished us well. heyy great isnt it? gt a lot of encouragement! (luckily mehta wasnt around!:D)

8.25 a.m.
went back into the studio and started our make-up and hairdo session...
lasted for about 2hrs...

at the same time, we were quite encouraged when our seniors: salisha, fiza, zahidah, elyne, farrah and afiqa came to support us!

some complaints>> the hairdo session was hell! nt meant to complaint bt it was soo painful! the end result was cool bt the process was i have to say, torturing.
why? cos we have to mess our hair up using a comb till our hair was all crumpled up in order to make the hairdo. as for the make-up, im sure most of us enjoyed it! well, who doesnt want to be beautiful?

nt long after that, ms lam came in also to give her support. she even gave us kinder bueno and ferrero rocher plus an "encouragement note" which was pasted on the chocolates! (for the first time, i really felt like a celebrity which receives gifts and words of encouragements from fans! hahas.)

10.25 a.m.
after we put on our costumes, we had our home-packed food and also fried rice that kak ana has cooked for us...after everyone was ready, we made a run through once of the dance.

11.45 a.m.
we left sch and boarded the bus. funny moments in the bus that occurred. had a bad time trying to put on the lipstick cos the damn bus was shaking non-stop! kak fiza nearly gave up. haha:D

12.10 p.m.
okay we've reached there... many skools have arrived. felt kinda small after seing them dressed up so nicely... there was this boy's sch: st. joseph's sec came after us...

camwhoring like nobody's business. and sat at the corner.

1 p.m.
the moment has arrived. it was time for us to go in...
rather nervous. bt before our turn was st. joseph's. at back stage, were like wishing them gd luck even though we didnt noe them...hahas. too friendly, i guess..(and nysah was feeling high?? hahas. sorry nys, took time to gossip abt euu:D)

then our turn came. i think we were rather "kanchong" that we somehow didnt manage to follow the markings on the ground...well, i think i made quite a no. of mistakes today...
firstly, at the middle part, my hankerchief was stuck to my costume...luckily i didnt freak out...managed to cover up and juz let it be stuck there...
next, i nearly missed my turn to rush my postion...
lastly, the last few parts, i realised that the line that i was in was freaking slanted!! omg, i think it's rather obvious...

but so far, i think we've done our best..

1.30 p.m.
we were surprised to see mr liu and mr sashi was around! they said they enjoyed the dance...sadly, kak ana has to rush to sit for her examinations...
we went on to sit in the hall and watch the other schools...
woah, i have to say. that the other schools were dancing superbly! compared to our school, theirs are more syncronised, i think. okay, we're jealous. also realised that majority of the performances were zapin and only a few was taking on inang...

3.30 p.m.
sat around at the area, while the teachers bought us mcdonald's. ate and chat. have to leave at 4. took the bus, reached school at 4.30.

4.45 p.m.
debrief by teachers. wont wanna blogg abt it. hahas. it's just between us...surprisingly, the seniors bought us cakes!! okay, a sweetful day. chocolates and cakes and pastries...

5.30 p.m.
cleaned the place while collecting the stuffs. well, straightening back the hair was another round of hell! all of us took a long time to finish it...and also cleansing the make-up...

well, we all gt home at 6.30.

oh no. tomoro's the result. another round of fear. will be released in the afternoon. dont dare to think abt it. maybe we are all prepared for the worst?? i dunno. bt that's wht i feel...

bt what im sure is, what we've done is what we deserve...

Last Practice before SYF...

hi guyys!
this is NUR ATIKAH BTE HOSNI.
here to update for this month!!

okay. let's start with yesterday's practice...

yesterday was quite special, as our seniors, kak salisha and kak fiza(the funny one:D) was thr to give us some support. and yeah, they will be around on the SYF day...

hmm. as usual; start off with the warm up in the canteen, and then kak ana arrived...
after the first round of dance, kak ana told us to gather. we thot that she was gonna scold us or something, but instead, she told us that we had done a great job! she said that it was the first time she could feel us really enjoying the dance...
as she said that, her tears nearly dropped. we quite shocked as i didnt really think that we would have danced up to her expectations. sadly,both ms norli and ms nafisah were nt around as they have to attend courses...

right after that, we continued and tried our best to keep up the effort as we didnt want to disappoint her. after a few hours of practice in the canteen, we gt to wear the sanggul. and there was chaos...

due to focusing on the sanggul, we sort of lost our focus on the dance. some of our hankerchiefs were stuck to the sanggul and some of us dropped it...haish. cant afford to do that during SYF!

however, we gt our focus back after a while. SJAB members gathered at the canteen and it was quite crowded. they are having their POP. okayy, as we were dancing, we were quite hungry as we saw them eat:D then, after we danced and they watched, we were cught by surprise when they applauded us! hahas.

subsequently, it kinda look like more & more people we watching us dance! okayy, but finally, we have to move to the quadrangle. even though the weather was hot, and we were all tired, i can see that many of us were nt slacking much. bt, we gathered before the last round of practice before the SYF and we kinda gt emotional...
even kak ana couldnt hold back her tears...me too! the thing that i cant forget the most is when we all were dancing while tears were dropping at the same time! it felt rather weird to dance a happy song while crying isnt it? bt wht to do? cant control our feelings...

finally practice ended and we all gt home together by 6.45pm...

now, it's just about the SYF competition. and it all depends on us...for me, i just wanna wish all of us all the best on tue, 7 APRIL 2009...

Nadd here again…
Today is our preview at Swiss… we all got ready on time… most of us were very very nervous for the performance as most of our peers are watching us. Example Izzy… she was shaking and holding my hands before the performance as she was too nervous…haha..its okay ..its NORMAL..
Although some of us made some mistakes…its okay…theres still room for improvements.

( To nys: its okay to make mistakes cause I had experience it before and I noe how it felt… so just treat it as an experience)

Overall, we all had fun and enjoy our dance although most of the comments said that we had fake smiles on our faces…okay that’s all for today I think…

Nadd here…basically we had our SYF rehearsal today.
Meet at the foyer at 9.10am
and reached the UCC at about 9.40.
We all quickly change into our attire and do our individual warm up
So that we will not waste time.
We had a two hour non-stop training…and it was superbly tiring.
All of us perspire a lot although the place was air-conditioned.
And also the stage was obviously bigger than our school stage.
We simply had trouble spacing out at first but then
after our instructor had given our placing,
we are much better in spacing out.
At about 12, we went to a have our lunch at a shop
that is about 10 mins walk from the UCC. We just wish that we could take a cab
there as we are too tired to walk.
After about one hour of having lunch, we need to went back to the UCC
As our bus is waiting for us there.
At about 2pm, we reached school.
Some of us need to resume our lesson and others went back home.
The overall training was fun although we are very tired.
The photos of the practice is not with me
so just hope that one of the member or teacher
may post the pictures that they have.

Hello2. Nadd here…as what most the members had said, that this blog is officially dead…now here I am to revive it back!

Kay...lets start with today:

As per normal, we assemble at the canteen at 2.30. Our instructor lead us in the warm up…and its not the normal warm up but its intensive warm up. Most of us had difficulties as the last time we had this kind of warm up is like two years ago? Proceeding with our SYF training… we repeat the dance several times, and for every time we dance the teachers will give the comments. At about 5pm, Mr Sashi came to look at our dance… and so as usual he gave comments and our weakness is...to SMILE!

Okay I think that it for today…do rest well dancers.

Will be having our rehearsal tomorrow… so be punctual with the full attire (you must know it by now) at 9.10am.

Amiraaaaaaaaaaa here! :D Woohooo. Changed the blogskin, super sorry cause i know the colours are like so DULL&MUNDANE. && Apologies for the delayy.
