Singapore Youth Festival 07.04.2009

aites. juz gt home frm sch after the SYF!!okayys. wanna update now cos i wanna bunk in early! damn tired, and tomoro's there's TAF club early in the morning for me and ain... okay. events in order: 7.15 a.m. report to the hall for morning assembly...blah..blah..blah... mrs lim told us: "dont be nervous.." the more she says that, the more we are nervous! then the band members announced their SYF results. woah. we were quite shocked when we heard tt the have obtained the SILVER award! well having been achieving the gold award for the past few years, we were all expecting a gold again this yr. bt anything can happen rite? well, all we can say is that they have done their best and the results doesnt really matter... after their announcement, they even wished us well for our SYF! thanks a lot swiss winds!:D well after learning of their results, we felt quite discouraged as we thot that if the successful swiss winds would obtain silver, then what about us?? yeah. that made us think a lot... 7.40 a.m. all of MD members came together, rushed to the back stage to get our stuffs and then went to the dance studio... we were quite shocked when the chinese dancers gathered in the dance studio before we came in, there to give us their support! they even gave us their self-made "encouragement poster"! thanks chinese dance!:D 8 a.m. well did some light stretching and camwhoring at the same time...then ms nafisah came down... 8.15 a.m. went to the canteen to have a light breakfast. the stall vendor and even ms hafiza wished us well. heyy great isnt it? gt a lot of encouragement! (luckily mehta wasnt around!:D) 8.25 a.m. went back into the studio and started our make-up and hairdo session... lasted for about 2hrs... at the same time, we were quite encouraged when our seniors: salisha, fiza, zahidah, elyne, farrah and afiqa came to support us! some complaints>> the hairdo session was hell! nt meant to complaint bt it was soo painful! the end result was cool bt the process was i have to say, torturing. why? cos we have to mess our hair up using a comb till our hair was all crumpled up in order to make the hairdo. as for the make-up, im sure most of us enjoyed it! well, who doesnt want to be beautiful? nt long after that, ms lam came in also to give her support. she even gave us kinder bueno and ferrero rocher plus an "encouragement note" which was pasted on the chocolates! (for the first time, i really felt like a celebrity which receives gifts and words of encouragements from fans! hahas.) 10.25 a.m. after we put on our costumes, we had our home-packed food and also fried rice that kak ana has cooked for us...after everyone was ready, we made a run through once of the dance. 11.45 a.m. we left sch and boarded the bus. funny moments in the bus that occurred. had a bad time trying to put on the lipstick cos the damn bus was shaking non-stop! kak fiza nearly gave up. haha:D 12.10 p.m. okay we've reached there... many skools have arrived. felt kinda small after seing them dressed up so nicely... there was this boy's sch: st. joseph's sec came after us... camwhoring like nobody's business. and sat at the corner. 1 p.m. the moment has arrived. it was time for us to go in... rather nervous. bt before our turn was st. joseph's. at back stage, were like wishing them gd luck even though we didnt noe them...hahas. too friendly, i guess..(and nysah was feeling high?? hahas. sorry nys, took time to gossip abt euu:D) then our turn came. i think we were rather "kanchong" that we somehow didnt manage to follow the markings on the ground...well, i think i made quite a no. of mistakes today... firstly, at the middle part, my hankerchief was stuck to my costume...luckily i didnt freak out...managed to cover up and juz let it be stuck there... next, i nearly missed my turn to rush my postion... lastly, the last few parts, i realised that the line that i was in was freaking slanted!! omg, i think it's rather obvious... but so far, i think we've done our best.. 1.30 p.m. we were surprised to see mr liu and mr sashi was around! they said they enjoyed the dance...sadly, kak ana has to rush to sit for her examinations... we went on to sit in the hall and watch the other schools... woah, i have to say. that the other schools were dancing superbly! compared to our school, theirs are more syncronised, i think. okay, we're jealous. also realised that majority of the performances were zapin and only a few was taking on inang... 3.30 p.m. sat around at the area, while the teachers bought us mcdonald's. ate and chat. have to leave at 4. took the bus, reached school at 4.30. 4.45 p.m. debrief by teachers. wont wanna blogg abt it. hahas. it's just between us...surprisingly, the seniors bought us cakes!! okay, a sweetful day. chocolates and cakes and pastries... 5.30 p.m. cleaned the place while collecting the stuffs. well, straightening back the hair was another round of hell! all of us took a long time to finish it...and also cleansing the make-up... well, we all gt home at 6.30. oh no. tomoro's the result. another round of fear. will be released in the afternoon. dont dare to think abt it. maybe we are all prepared for the worst?? i dunno. bt that's wht i feel... bt what im sure is, what we've done is what we deserve...
